Historical events of every kind
Whatever the occasion, whatever the venue, Griffin Historical can help you treat your guests to a truly memorable experience.
Whether it’s a wedding, something to say “thank you” to colleagues or clients, or added value for a historic location, we have the staff, skills and expertise to bring your event or site to life. We can supply personnel, help with theming, or provide a complete overall management service.
Multi-period, multi-skilled
Our events cover all periods and we offer a variety of styles and elements that build into something for everyone. Something to watch, listen to, laugh at, try out and be thrilled and amazed by - all combining to make a great day out.
Event logistics
Based on years of experience we can suggest timetabling and site layouts, as well as advising on crowd management, arena and activity positioning, and more.
Theme parties
Entertainers, action and props for your medieval banquet, Roman feast, Wild West barbeque or Prohibition Party? We have the best. Lookalikes or pantomime in your front room? Just get in touch.
International entertainers
As well as the UK we’ve taken our creative skills and expertise to Spain, Scotland, France, Scandinavia, Germany, Sweden, Holland, Greece, Switzerland, Turkey, North Africa, the USA and the Middle East, to name but a few.
Palaces and castles
Historic Royal Palaces: We are approved suppliers to Historic Royal Palaces and are used to running historical events in the moat at the Tower of London. Here we also stage the spectacular annual jousting show "Tournament at the Tower". We are also no strangers to Hampton Court Palace, providing a range of events and services - including the first falconry there in centuries. Over the years our attention to detail and in-depth knowledge of history, coupled with our management skills and respect for these fantastic sites, have made us one of the top providers of bespoke events for clients of this calibre.
For many years English Heritage has come to us for our performance and management skills. We have helped plan and execute both the ‘living history’ area and traders’ market at their huge annual multi-period flagship event (History in Action and Festival of History) for nearly a decade.
Since 2005 we have been a major feature of the Historic Scotland events programme, at such sites as Linlithgow Palace, Dirleton Castle (near Edinburgh), Melrose Abbey and Stirling Castle. We have presented a wide variety of bespoke events which have always been well received and commented on by public and staff alike.
