Valencia Cavalcade

In October 2008 we took a major part in helping the city of Valencia recreate a magnificent civic procession that was held in 1428 celebrating the visit and deeds of James I.

Over twelve hundred people in medieval costume took part in the grand cavalcade. Due to our reputation in this field Griffin Historical was asked to fly in nearly eighty riders and ground crew. All were in superb medieval armour and clothing, the highlight being fifteen fully harnessed knights complete with heraldic trappings. Despite the unusually heavy rain which would normally have halted proceedings elsewhere, the participants worked tirelessly to produce a fantastic spectacle which delighted the onlookers.
